Lavasoft Ad-aware 6.0 Personal (Win98 and above/NT) Instructions

1) Open Ad-aware by clicking on the desktop icon after finished with the installation process. If you have done this correctly, you will see the screen below.

2) First, click on the "Check for updates now" icon located at the lower right corner of the application window. It will require a connection to the Internet to complete. You will notice a pop-up window that will require you to press the "connect" button. Once it is complete, press finish and you will see the window below.

3) Now, making sure that all other applications are closed, press the "Next" button located at the bottom right corner of the application window. You will then see a window like the one below:



The screen above shows the progress of the scan taking place on your desktop at this time. It will proceed to scan all of the files and registry entries located on your computer.

4) Once the scan is finished, you will be presented with a screen displaying the objects that it found. Press "Next" to complete the cleaning process.

5) You may be required to "right-click" in the list and select the "select all objects" option in order to remove all of the objects.

6) You will then need to press the "Next" button. You will then be presented with a dialog box that will ask if you would like to remove all of the objects. You will need to press the "OK" button to continue.

It will then quarantine the objects and the complete the process. You will then be able to exit the application.
